The Critical Teaching and Learning Forum is hosting its second online study group. We will be reading and discussing “Making Workers: Radical Geographies of Education” by Katharyne Mitchell. Each meeting will be facilitated by a different member of the group. We’ll start with a short summary and then move onto questions the facilitator has posed. This will then lead to an open discussion. We plan on completing the book in four meetings – one for each section of the book.
The third and final meeting is taking place on March 18th, from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM. We will be discussing chapters six through nine. You don’t need to have read the chapters to participate. All are welcome.
The conversation will focus on market philanthropy in education, privatization and acts of resistance.
We are using GoToWebinar, so you need to register in order to participate. Once you do, you will get an email about connecting.
